River Report – 4/15/26

Flow: 1010 CFS

Store open 5 days a week and we are filling it to the brim with fresh inventory.

This past weekend really kicked us off on the Housatonic River for the season. Flows came down to perfect boat level, and wading opportunities were there as well.

I was out yesterday for a beautiful drift on the river. Lots of early stone flying around, with nymphing per usual this time of year being the ticket to fish, including this fatty holdover. Also get streamers into the mix, retrieving at different speeds to find the pace they want.

Unseasonably warm today and tomorrow, but back to April temps after that.

Time to get after it on the rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes. It’s fishing time.
