River is looking good, time of year is good, and the river has been stocked. Let’s get after it.

Here we go from now until at least mid June, it’s time for trout on the Housatonic River. Expect green caddis in the near future. Start working your caddis larva and pupa, with surface action heating up as the caddis hit.

Nymphing is going well and streamers should be very productive. Don’t forget the smallmouth bass, they have been active.
