We have shifted to our November & December schedule at the store-
Open Friday-Sunday.
Please note, guide trips and hunting season can sway these hours a bit one way or the other. If you have a decent drive to get here, give a call, if I know you are coming, I will be here! I've been out hunting as much as possible, such a great time of year to be in the woods!!
Though we are still in low water, fishing continues to be excellent! River at 242cfs. Easy wading! River has been stocked for the fall and trout are biting nicely. Also seeing some beautiful fish from the spring stocking as they have had six months in the river to shake off their hatchery marks, get back their true colors and get a bit chunky. Streamers, nymphs and drys, especially BWO all effective. Now is the time for the Pike bite. They put the feedbag on in October getting ready for the winter!
There have been many incidents of poaching and illegally taking trout from the Housatonic and other rivers throughout the state by any means necessary. This has included netting, standing in the water and splashing the fish out onto the banks, use of spotters and filling of bags and coolers with our precious resource.

We will be running guide trips throughout the Fall so give a call to get on the schedule. "Treat a Friend to a Bend" Book a driftboat trip spin fishing or fly fishing and hit the upper, lower or TMA sections of the Housatonic! Great way to spend a Half or Full Day! The boat is for 1 or 2 anglers.
Conditions have been very cooperative this season and we are having another outstanding fishing season. Repeat of the phenomenal last year for trout and bass. Loaded with Night Crawlers, Garlic Night Crawlers and Trout worms.
